USA says Israel can start war with Iran

July 25, 2010
by Mark Radulich

Republicans in the House of Representatives have introduced a measure that would green-light an Israeli bombing campaign against Iran. The resolution, H.Res. 1553, provides explicit support for military strikes against Iran, stating that Congress supports Israel’s use of “all means necessary” against Iran “including the use of military force”. US military leaders have warned that strikes could be catastrophic to US national security interests and could engulf the Middle East in a “calamitous” regional war.Nearly a third of House Republicans have signed onto the resolution, which has been publicly discussed and circulated by its lead sponsor, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), for months.

Federal Budget Gap Tops $1 Trillion Through June

This is why I don’t understand the reason why the Dems didn’t try to find a way make the unemployment extension cost neutral by either raising taxes or find sufficient cuts. The GOP even suggested using stimulus money and yet the Dems opted to increase the deficit once more.

Should Congress Have Extended Unemployment Benefts?

July 23, 2010

President Obama signed the unemployment extension into law shortly after it clear both the House and Senate on 7/22/2010.

States may now immediately begin the process of disbursing funds, estimated to take between two and four weeks. The legislation restores federally extended benefits — tacked on to state benefits, which last up to 26 weeks — retroactively to June 2 and on to Nov. 30. The maximum number of weeks of benefits is 99.

That’s the news and no matter how you may feel, it’s a fact of life.

But should Congress have passed an unemployment extension? I’m sure many of you are thinking, “Of course they should have, unemployment is through the roof; what’s the matter with you?” Believe it or not, there were some in Congress that thought passing this extension was a bad idea.

Well this explains a lot. I eat a ton of meat. I eat more meat than anything else and when I’m trying to diet I tend to eat a lot chicken or fish. Other than not exercising enough, I suppose this explains why I have such difficulty losing weight. There is something to going vegetarian temporarily to lose weight and get protein from beans and nuts. :::sigh:::

My issues with Fox, MSNBC and cable news in general as evidenced by the Shirley Sherrod Scandal; Michael Savage is banned in Britain (why should we care?); US to give Pakistan 500 Million Aid Package/Welfare; and Little Tykes Car sends wrong message (so does lazy parenting)
